The Big 3 sightseeing tour is designed to be accessible and enjoyable for most fitness levels, with a relaxed pace and plenty of time at each stop.
The most “strenuous” optional moment of the day is a short climb up the Rockpile at Moraine Lake. Roughly equivalent to a ~5-flight staircase made of natural stone steps. The path is man-made slate rock, can be single-file in sections, and does not have handrails. That said, it is completely optional and not required to enjoy Moraine Lake; the lakeshore at ground level is still spectacular.
Outside of this optional viewpoint, the rest of the day involves light walking on well-maintained, mostly flat surfaces such as paved lakeshore paths and short walks through parking areas and viewing points.
Guests can expect easy, manageable terrain with plenty of opportunities to sit, explore at their own pace, and take in the scenery without any technical hiking required.
